GS Plus Ltd Vehicle Services are pleased to announce that they have officially opened a new Accident Repair Centre! Located in Abbey Wood, Greenwich, the facility encompasses a number of ultramodern features including one of the largest paint ovens in the area and advanced spraying equipment.
The new centre was converted from a previously disused unit into a brand new sophisticated facility. It underwent a complete transformation and was fitted with two contemporary vehicle booths, a large training room and brand new signage to coincide with the department’s rebranding. The new facility even has an illuminated reception desk! The centre can accommodate a number of vehicle sizes from large buses to smaller private automobiles.
The grand opening took place on Tuesday 19th September 2017 and was attended by numerous personnel at GS Plus, various staff members from the Royal Borough of Greenwich and current fleet customers.
The Vehicle Services team were on hand to welcome visitors in, who were all given a tour of the facility to see the range of exciting features that the new site encompasses. Attendees were treated to a fancy buffet, provided by GS Plus’s own catering division, Incito.
The Mayor of Greenwich, Councillor Peter Brooks was present on the day to officially open the new facility. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place in the early afternoon.
Visitors responded enthusiastically to the new unit, praising its new design and renovation.
Since its opening, the new centre has had a steady flow of business and is continuing to progress. Moving forward, the department intends to adopt a more commercial orientation.
The Vehicle Services team are no strangers to success. In 2016, the department won the APSE Service award for Best Service Team of the Year – Transport & Fleet Maintenance Service. Finance and Projects Manager, Jo Mannion also won Employee of the Year at GS Plus Ltd’s annual Staff Awards ceremony, which took place in summer 2017.
